Justin Verret (aka "Shameless") License Pilot Number: 10698.
He made his name in 2361, after a victory in the highest division for the inaugural King of the Mountain with a squad built mostly with from Smilodons. The strength, deadly shots, feline like speed and maneuvering of the Smilodon were a force that nobody could oppose.

During his career, he has been a member of the legendary and now disbanded MurderBots and was also leader of the famous CyberStorm. Currently, he fights among the collection of bizarre, dangerous and legendary pilots that feeds one of the strongest Clans in the whole Galaxy: Zeon.
Despite his love for the Smilodons, (almost a century has passed and he is still sending claims to Alpha Corps for the long time ago promised Super Smilodon next generation) time has passed and now there are other stronger and more effective Mechs came on service, Justin has been caring modernizing his force over this time, to lead a set of deadlier elite mechs that the various manufacturers have produced.
In his own words, “I'm a successful MechWarrior and Commander. I've led clans at the pinnacle of the Galaxy for longer than anyone else. Love it or hate it, that's a fact. My friends can count on me, and though I'm not in the top five, or even top ten pilots anymore, those who underestimate me do so at their peril”.

Mechanomicon.- Greetings Sir. Justin Verret is a name for so long heard in the chambers of LaSalle’s as a real legend among the more veteran mech pilots. Let me say is a truly honor to have the opportunity to interview you for the Mechanomicon readers and researchers.
Justin.- Always a pleasure to speak with a member of the press.
M. - Well, the Mechanomicon is not just a news site, but an accurate encyclopedic project where any pilot could keep the memory of what happened into our Galaxy. So, let's start...
Where are you from, Sir, and how did you happen to become a mech pilot?
J. - I come from the neutral Colony World Terra Verde ("Green Earth"); I became a pilot because my home planet has an institutional draft of all citizens from the ages of eighteen to twenty two. Not everyone becomes a pilot, but we are required to serve in our military in exchange for free access to higher education.
M. - Due the difficulty to find a single warrior allowed to become a pilot correctly linked to the complex AI's, would be a miracle to find a place with a ratio of one pilot among a thousand yet. This is I believe what makes from you, the most experienced pilots, real treasures for the mercenary clans and factions.
Which one was your first clan as debutant pilot?
J. - The very first clan I joined once I was free from my service and able to go out on the mercenary market, as we know the clan structure today was notching, the clan is long gone, and soon gave way to Murderbots. Murderbots won the first two Galactic Interclan Tournaments, and was the first of the great Mercenary Clans. Speaking about the ratio of pilot candidates in the population, Terra Verde does have that sort of ratio, if slightly higher.
M. - Really, you were a member of the original and legendary MurderBots crew, the very first champion clan… Now that should not surprise us due your long time in service as one of the oldest elite pilots.
How could you define Murderbots?
J. - Murderbots as it was intended, was a dominant force in the game, drawing together the strongest commanders and pilots in the game for profit. We fought against the original Northwind Highlanders, and had a healthy rivalry with them. In that rivalry the seeds of respect and the future were sown.
M. - Do you miss those glorious times, now just whispered time to time for the elder or do you happen to keep alive the taste for fight with your current crew, the extraordinary Zeon?
J. - I have mostly retired now, I keep my hand in, and help those who ask, but the past is past. Zeon is incredible, and few people choose to remember just how well they've done. This is a clan that never ran minimum numbers in the wars; they hung together, always, and walked away with the win. The only clans to beat Zeon are CyberStorm, Fusion, and Isle of Misfit Toys.
M. - We know you are a Smilodon Pilot as that’s one became your Legendary Pilot totem… How do you think the sweet Smilodon has evolved after all this time?
J. - The Smilodon is vastly underpowered compared the much larger mechs. Within its own class it's quite powerful and one of a handful of mecha built around precision kills. I love the mecha, and wish that the Shogunate would unveil the larger version we were teased with ages ago.
M. - No doubt all the pilot family could love it.
And so, today, with as many other amazing war mechs to pilot… Which one has caught your eye?
J. - Well of course the Fext is the reigning king of the battlefield. While the Notos and Reaper see a lot of play, The revolutionary damage boosters on the Fext and current equipment allow you to make it a 100 ton mecha with the speed of the fastest 40 ton mecha and capable of doing truly amazing damage. The only downside to the Fext is that it's an expensive machine to equip and arm.
M. - Which are your favored capabilities on a mech when times come to include them into your squad?
J. - Crit-kill, freeze, and slow. Those three abilities are an unmatched combination. To be quite honest, that combination is why you see so many Boreas running around still, as they can run it quite well. The mecha only falls down on its speed.
M. - A good attack is a good defense indeed. And what about your chosen tactics, do you have a favorite spec for war, any favorite for king of the mountain circuits?
J. - Well I have always liked the Open Format Kotm, as it shows the true power of a Commander. The big mecha are the lords of the battlefield, and only in the open format are you going to see them all really. It also has a special place with me as I won the first four of them in Division 1, back when we only had 3 divisions of play. Speaking on the KOTM, many of the formats for the war were the brainchild of myself, Jaime Beltran, and others. If you go back through the old Mechathalon events sponsored by ANN, you'll see that we ran the events there first before they became a standardized format. The Mechathalons actually predate KotM, there were three of them before we ran the first KotM. I ran the first and didn't compete, and won the second. The very first was won by Temu Xao, and he was the first pilot to earn the Nephilax mecha, I was the second.
M. - … Sun Tzu, a legendary war master wrote in the dark ages of the earth… “Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories”… As a legend among legends, which one has been the hardest enemy you had to fight in your pilot career?
Do you have any especial mention?
J. - Jaime Beltran, not so much an enemy, but he and I are the eldest pilots in the Galaxy. He's a great friend, and had the longest reign as Galactic Champion bar none. my win/loss ratio versus him is probably the worst I have that I care about, as they're the results of me testing myself, and finding I still had much to learn.
M. - (nods) And when talking about the menaces our galaxy had in the past...We have seen several times that the security of the Galaxy falls on the hands of our Mech mercenary Clans. Would you say that the Great Powers are not yet as great and that the real edge is by the Mercenary Clans? And what has been the most ravenous menace our galaxy was exposed to (not counting the current war against the Unification)
J. - The Mercenary clans wield the true power in the galaxy, not the other Great Powers. They might create the technology, but it is the Mercenary clans who wield it to greatest effect. We decide what to protect, whom to advance and fight for. It is something that still saddens me greatly that the Grand Galactic Senate has failed, but that is the reality of the Galaxy we face. I held hopes that these new threats to us all would give new life the Senate, and bring the entire human sphere under benevolent guidance, but this seems to not be what others wish for. So we continue as we have. The mercenary clans Fight for those who can pay, and the Great powers are left picking up the pieces of their shattered worlds.
M. - Do you think the Droch’ah menace is yet ended or might we have to face again the never ending threat of the resilient Forerunner?
Perhaps... the shattered Chroniode could just have been a parenthesis for Droch'ah and while bringing lateral threats as the Unification.
Any insight about the matter through the Dr. Oki?
J. - I don't believe he's gone. We've killed him how many times now? He keeps creating temporal clones, so there's not likely an end to him. What concerns me most is this. Where are these armies coming from now that access to history is gone?
M. - The Unification? They have not apparent bounds with Droch'ah yet...
The past year 3316, we had for first time news about a parallel universe of existence; with a twin galaxy and small divergences where Xeon, counterpart of the Zeon clan that you belong, was close to completely dominate all other faction… Did Zeon has any interaction with that Xeon faction? As you belong to the great Zeon clan, what do you think about the pretension the outlander General Conover has in his pursuit to eradicate any sign of his very enemy Xeon.
J. - To my knowledge we had no direct interaction there. Conover learned an expensive lesson when he came after Zeon, thinking we were like our counterparts. I don't think he'll do so again, however if this occurs, we'll send him home just as we did before, with a colony drop Enema.
M. - Well, the Unification Army was repelled, but at a high price... Anyway, they seem not over yet and looking for your... (Laughs). Any expectation or any goal that you had in mind currently now?
J. - I don't have any long term goals other than to enjoy my semi-retirement amidst my Zeon clan mates.
M. - Excellent, thanks a lot; and I hope you may keep enjoying your semiretirement as a legendary pilot as you deserves Sir.
