Located on the outer edge of Cogwerk space, Vupa 6, also known as the Purple Planet, is a rocky planetoid continually surrounded by an insidious purple atmosphere and apparently without appreciable resources.
Nevertheless, rumors abound that Vupa 6's strange and poisonous purple atmosphere is able to seep through vacuum suits and cause severe neural damage, driving to those who breathe it or come into contact with it into madness.
At present, the planet serves as a haven for many pirates who use it as a base from which to launch incursions against non-military merchant transport and far enough away from the safe routes of the Illyrian Hegemony or the Cogwerk Society of Planets to avoid drawing too much attention from those authorities.
In 3325, it was discovered an alien species called as "Yoram" that has been hiding in Vupa 6 even before than the the foundation of the first human settlements. They are the responsible of the purple mist and the toxicity present in the atmosphere as a result of a long process of terraformation to make the planet breathable to them, and bringing the so called "Awakening".
