This threat to the galaxy took part between the years 3323 and 3325 in Vupa 6, a planet permanently surround by a toxic purple mist.
During years 3323 and 3324, a series of strange incidents were set in motion. These incidents of odd nature, increased in frequency and began to attract the attention of the Illyrian authorities as well as other powers.

At first mining crews and mercantile convoys that operated on or near the planet disappeared in mysterious circumstances but these disappearances became more widespread. Later, the planet seemed to exert a call effect, luring victims to the planet and strange attacks followed where the victims were abducted. Survivors who have been found were severely dehydrated with brain damage of varying degrees and with memory loss symptoms common to all.
Finally, Mech pilots have been found reduced to the state of mummies, after being subjected to some strange drying process.
The Illyrian Hegemony had not shared its restricted archives on its former military colony; although, they begun to send patrols in order to determine the nature and origin of this new threat.

The Illyrian expeditionary forces fell surrendered to either, the purple fever or to the alien mind control, starting a bloodthirsty bath between themselves. The mercenary clans took part to rescue as many as possible of the inexpert recruits sent there to die under friend fire.
On September 3325, the mercenary clans reported multiple contacts with an alien species called as the Yoram, who by means of mind-controlled human puppets used as messengers offered an ultimatum of withdrawal from the planet, immersed in the final phase of what they called "The Awakening", the conclusion of the terraformization and alteration of Vupa's atmosphere to make it breathable to the Yoram.
