An Ambershard Stalker is a giant terrestrial arthropod equipped with a massive chitinous exoskeleton as hard as ferrite. They are armed with a lethal stinger that injects a paralyzing poison into their prey. In the unlikely event the victim does survive the puncture; they can also concentrate an electrical charge within the amber in their stinger. When this charge is released, a shocking electrical ray is created with power comparable to a heavy laser blast. There are many reports of snavurms being carbonized by the effect of the shocking electrical discharge of the ambershard sting.
Typically, an adult is no heavier than ten tons and no larger than the size of a Red Ant mecha.
They are usually found to inhabit environments that have a dense canopy and a deep substrate, making the jungles of the Rizpah Moon an excellent home for them. During the daylight, they seek shelter beneath the density of the jungle canopy or in deep, carved burrows in the substrate.
While they are usually solitary and rather stationary in their nature, ambershard stalkers have been known for their swarm behaviour. This behaviour was documented by many pilots and news networks during the Gorax plague of 3311 where massive swarms of ambershard stalkers roamed the galaxy.
